People with tattoos out-drink people without them

Previous studies have found a link between body tattoos or piercings and risky behavior. However, these studies only examined survey data but not real behavior. In a new study published in Alcoholism: Clinical & Experimental Research, French researchers approached people leaving bars and asked if they’d be willing to take a breathalyzer; they also asked if the respondents had tattoos or piercings.

A beer belly comes from binging, not necessarily beer drinking

Dr Martin Bobak from University College London and colleagues at the Institute of Clinical and Experimental Medicine in Prague questioned 891 Czech men and 1,098 women between the ages of 25 and 64 as part of their study, and found that beer drinkers aren’t more likely to have abdominal fat than non-beer drinkers.
